Things to Consider When Planning Your Wedding

The proposal for marriage presents the starting point of a wild ride with regards to preparing, planning and going through with the wedding. There exist several different aspects of a wedding you must consider before the big day arrives. Thus, if you are considering marriage, you’ll need to become familiar with some of the common basics of planning a wedding.First Things, First

The first thing you’ll need to consider in preparation for the big day is the venue and location you wish to have the wedding in. This becomes an important decision with regards to booking the location well in advanced to secure it’s availability for the big event. When considering to hosts the event at a friend’s home or local relatives place, make sure they’re well aware of the date you plan on setting the wedding.

In order to provide ample warning to those you want to attend, you’ll need to set a date well in advance and prepare the necessary invitations. You should check with the venue to get the maximum capacity the location is willing to host. Then, you’ll need to create a list of all individuals you wish to join on the wedding day. Lastly, you’ll need to prioritize the list and request that each guest RSVP ahead of time in order to prepare the venue for a set number of guest.

The second most important thing you’ll need to consider in preparation pertains to the dress code for pre-wedding events, such as the bridal shower or similar events. Of course, the wedding day is all about glamour in preferential treatment towards the bride. However, other events relate to the bride’s importance on the scale of worn garments to match the overall theme of any pre-day events.

Many brides and groom consider the preparation stages before a wedding to be stressful, time consuming and a bit confusing. Remember to be patient and take all the time you need to decide on final design implementations. After all, you’re going to have a lifetime together to cherish the work you put into a wedding ahead of time. Thus, do not overwhelm yourself with the minor details pertaining to planning. Even though you may want to get it just right, focus on looking forward to the joyful, fulfilling and wonderful day to come.

Cotton Wedding Anniversary

We couldn’t do what was planned, because of rain, so we went for a lovely drive up to Warrandyte. Then we went to the Catholic wedding of one of Penny’s cousins. Afterwards, the rain cleared for us. Monday the 3rd of December 2007—two years later—we drove to Darling Gardens, with Daniel, and exchanged vows and rings in the same spot, again. Then it was home to drop Daniel with my mum for babysitting, and off to the cousin’s reception.
